Riding references
FOCUS ON THE WORLD OF OUTDOOR HORSERIDING
Here is a selection of the numerous websites that I have spent many hours reading...
Association Cavaliers au Long Cours (CALC) – the aim of this association is to encourage riding on horseback: forums, newsletter, etc. This is the association that got me in the saddle so that I could take off on my adventure. In 2011 I took part in a forum not far from Niort, France.
Website put together by Emile Brager, co-founder of the CALC. Emilie has ridden up the entire continent of America, from Patagonia to Alaska. She has also published a book that is a reference work for long rides:Techniques du voyage à cheval, Editions Nathan (French only).
SAME THING, AMERICAN COWBOY STYLE
The only rider I came across on the Internet who has travelled most of the CDT with her horse and pack mule.
